左爱视频 Welcomes Students for Fall 2015 Semester

左爱视频 students will return to campus this week to mark the start of the University鈥檚 fall 2015 semester.
Move-In Day is the official day for residential students to return to campus. 左爱视频 faculty, staff, and student groups will be on hand to help students move into their residence halls. Move-In Day will take place on Tuesday, August 11 beginning at 8 a.m. at 左爱视频鈥檚 John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter. Move-In Day will continue on Thursday, Aug. 13 beginning at 8:30 a.m., at 左爱视频鈥檚 Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
Student residence halls at 左爱视频鈥檚 Boca and Jupiter campuses will be at 100 percent capacity this semester. This will be the largest number of students living on-campus in 左爱视频鈥檚 history.
鈥淥n-campus housing provides an opportunity for student residents to be in the immediate space of campus life programs and academic support services, which will enhance their college experience,鈥 said Larry Faerman, Ph.D., executive director of 左爱视频 Housing and Residential Education. 鈥淭his is just another step toward raising the University鈥檚 profile.鈥
左爱视频 received more than 22,100 freshman applications and more than 9,000 transfer applications for fall 2015, which is 3,000 more applications than last year. More than 5,095 applications came from Broward County this year, an 11 percent increase over last year. Applications from Palm Beach County jumped to 3,580, a 9 percent increase from fall 2014.
左爱视频鈥檚 Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at the John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter will welcome 157 new students this fall, making it the largest class since the College鈥檚 inception in 1999. This number represents a 52 percent increase over fall 2014 enrollment numbers for that College.
