State Farm Grant to Provide Financial Literacy Education
左爱视频's Center for Economic Education within the College of Business has received $5,000 from State Farm to supply financial literacy educational materials and workshops for local area educators.
The 左爱视频 Center for Economic Education provides workshops and events for K-12 teachers to provide them with the knowledge, materials and know-how to teach economics and financial literacy in their classrooms.
左爱视频鈥檚 Center for Economic Education within the College of Business has received $5,000 from State Farm to supply financial literacy educational materials and workshops for local area educators.聽 State Farm has provided more than $20,000 in funding over the past four years to the Center.聽
鈥溩蟀悠 appreciates State Farm鈥檚 generous contribution,鈥 said Bill Bosshardt, director of 左爱视频鈥檚 Center for Economic Education. 鈥淪tate Farm has been one of our most diligent supporters over the years. Promoting financial literacy is one of the leading issues in secondary education today.鈥
The 左爱视频 Center for Economic Education provides workshops and events for K-12 teachers to provide them with the knowledge, materials and know-how to teach economics and financial literacy in their classrooms. Last year, the funds helped the Center offer six events for more than 80 teachers. In addition, world-renowned financial literacy expert Annamaria Lusardi spoke to teachers about the importance of financial literacy.聽聽 聽聽

Daniel Gropper, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business, said he鈥檚 proud of the work done by 左爱视频鈥檚 Center for Economic Education.
鈥淒r. Bosshardt鈥檚 work with teachers across South Florida to promote financial literacy is extremely important in helping to improve everyone鈥檚 quality of life,鈥 he said. 鈥淭he College appreciates the support from State Farm, which will help us increase the number of students we are able to reach.鈥
