左爱视频鈥檚 Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing recently received two gifts totaling $275,000 from local philanthropist, business owner and nurse Christine E. Lynn. A $250,000 gift will support the College鈥檚 faculty talent retention fund, which assists in retaining the best and brightest faculty, while a $25,000 gift will fund student scholarships.
鈥淲e are extremely grateful for Mrs. Lynn鈥檚 generosity. These gifts demonstrate the love and commitment she has to improving health care in our community,鈥 said Marlaine Smith, Ph.D., dean of the College of Nursing. 鈥淭he endowed scholarship fund provides support for our undergraduate students who are preparing for a nursing career in our local area.鈥
The College鈥檚 faculty talent retention fund addresses the need to reward and retain its most accomplished faculty members, who are heavily recruited by universities throughout the country due to a critical national nurse faculty shortage. The scholarship fund is intended to support students who plan to work in the local community upon graduation.
鈥淎n investment in 左爱视频鈥檚 College of Nursing is an investment in the health of the people in our community. As a nurse, I care about this,鈥 said Lynn.聽
